Infosel: Evolving Information Management

Infosel is one of Mexico's most established financial data providers, often described as the country's answer to Bloomberg. Its terminal software, though, still ran on a Windows-era interface built for the 1990s. The team came to Shortcut expecting a simple rebrand, but the real problem ran deeper: the product no longer matched the sophistication its reputation implied. Shortcut ran user research with the people who actually use Infosel's terminal day to day. Many of them were older users who struggled to read dense, small interfaces, and that finding shaped the redesign: clearer type, smarter search, and accessibility built in from the start, not bolted on afterward. About six months later, Infosel relaunched both its brand and product, closing the gap between what the company represented and what its software actually looked like. The new platform remains the foundation of what Infosel runs today.
